LOUIS, Ill. - Jarrell Anderson, 23, is now in custody facing serious charges for the murder of 23-year-old Turyan Austell. Motorcyclist dead after being struck by a semi-truck in 3-car crash in Riverside A man is dead after he was involved in a three-car crash and struck by a semi-truck in Riverside on Tuesday. At approximately 5:27 p.m., California Highway Patrol responded to a crash involving three vehicles on the westbound 91 Freeway, just west of Cridge Street, according to a CHP news release. Police say a motorcyclist riding a 2020 Kawasaki Ninja was splitting lanes when the driver of a 2010 Acura TSX made an abrupt lane change and hit him, sending him into the lane of a semi-truck that struck him again. The rider succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Acura driver fled the scene and continued westbound on State Route 91. Investigative efforts led authorities to locate the Acura, and the driver was identified as a juvenile who was involved in the crash. This is an ongoing investigation.

San Pablo: Person, dog killed in triplex fire SAN PABLO — A person and a dog were killed in a fire Friday afternoon in San Pablo, according to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.The fire was reported around 4:15 p.m. in the 2600 block of Dover Avenue, the district said in a social media post. Firefighters arrived to find flames and heavy smoke coming from a triplex. Power lines were also down in front of the building.Following a “quick and aggressive attack on the fire,” firefighters searched the triplex and found a person and a dog unresponsive inside, according to the district.The district said the person received CPR at the scene and was rushed to Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead. The dog also died.Fire crews arrived on scene of a duplex in San Pablo w/one unit fully involved. While mitigating a live power line, crews made a quick and aggressive attack on the fire. Person, dog killed in San Pablo fire (KRON) -- A person and a dog were killed in a fire in San Pablo on Friday, the Contra Costa Fire Protection District said. The fire started in a duplex on the 2600 block of Dover Ave. Con Fire described it as a commercial structure fire. One unit was fully involved. Image from Con Fire. In their initial search, crews found an unresponsive victim, performed CPR and sent them to Kaiser Permanente Richmond. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. Heavy smoke and flames were showing from the front of the building, per Con Fire. Fire crews' response was disrupted by downed power lines in front of the building.This is a developing story. Cyclist killed after being struck by truck in Rohnert Park (KRON) -- A cyclist was killed after being struck by a pick-up truck in Rohnert Park on Friday, police said. The victim was identified as a 51-year-old Santa Rosa resident. The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety (RPDPS) responded to the 5700 block of Commerce Boulevard at about 12:40 p.m. The cyclist was on the ground with life-threatening injuries, police said. ‘X’ logo installed atop Twitter building, spurring San Francisco to investigate permit violation RPDPS said a Ram 1500 was turning into the northbound lane of Commerce Boulevard out of a parking lot when it collided with a bicyclist going south. The cyclist died at a hospital, police said. The truck driver stayed at the scene after the crash. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor. Police are investigating the crash.
