SAN ANTONIO (Border Report) -- A two-day binational conference began on Wednesday with leaders from the United States and Mexico earmarking future projects to spur economic development on the border, and trying to solve a water crisis that is plaguing both countries.About 200 people attended the NADBank Summit 2023 hosted by the North American Development Bank -- a bank that is owned by both the U.S. and Mexico. ST. LOUIS -- A campaign to prevent drunk driving through ride-sharing apps is expanding to college campuses nationwide before football season. Anheuser-Busch, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and Uber launched the Decide to Ride campaign in 2021. CANBERRA, Australia — The bodies of three U.S. Marines killed in a tiltrotor aircraft crash during a training exercise in Australia were retrieved from the crash scene while another Marine remained in critical condition, the Marine Corps said Tuesday.Those killed were from Colorado, Illinois and Virginia.The Marine V-22B Osprey with 23 Marines on board crashed Sunday in tropical forest on Melville Island while taking part in Exercise Predators Run, a drill that includes the militaries of Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines and East Timor.All 20 survivors were injured and were flown by rescue aircraft 80 kilometers (50 miles) south to the city of Darwin within hours of the crash. The Westlake High School community is mourning the death of 17-year-old varsity football player Julius Poppinga.Principal Jason Branham announced the death in an email to the school community Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Times.Poppinga, a junior at the school in Thousand Oaks, had been hospitalized after a severe asthma attack last week, the Ventura County Star reported. Westlake football player Julius Poppinga is seen in an image posted to the football team's Facebook page.The 6 foot, 1 inch tall, 220-pound lineman apparently suffered a collapsed lung during his stay in the hospital and never recovered.
